Occupational Health and Safety
Employees are the most valuable asset of the Company, and we attach great importance to our employees' needs and rights. Therefore, we strive to create a fair, just, friendly, and flexible work environment, which is consistent with MiTAC's core values. Accordingly, various employee care-related systems and measures have been developed.

Employee Healthcare |
|---|
|
We prioritize employees' physical and mental health. In Taiwan, we have three full-time nurses and two contracted nurses on-site, and we provide regular health check-ups for all employees every two years. In 2024, the health check-up participation rate for employees in Taiwan reached 98.3%. In addition to basic check-up items, we provide items beyond regulatory requirements to care for employee health. Through doctor consultations arranged by hospitals, we help employees understand their health status to achieve preventive healthcare. Health check-up results are managed by our nurses according to the Employee Health Protection Management Procedure, with regular tracking and care for high-risk groups. There is no advantageous or disadvantageous treatment of employees, and personal health data is used solely for health management purposes, not for other purposes. We also held seminars specifically on Heart Rate Variability (HRV) in health check-ups, to explain relevant data and its significance to employees. We also employ occupational medicine and family medicine specialists to provide on-site services in Taiwan and offer regular one-on-one professional consultations to help employees receive more specialized medical advice. In 2024, there were 250 instances of one-on-one health consultations in Taiwan. |

Occupational Health and Safety Management System |
|---|
MiTAC focuses on the management of safety and health. With employee safety and health as the most important basis of the Company's operation, we have obtained ISO 45001 certified occupational health and safety management systems for our R&D headquarters and all factories (except MiTACIS in the United States), striving to provide safe, healthy and low-risk operating conditions and work environments to the stakeholders including employees, customers, suppliers, neighborhoods and communities. Each factory has established dedicated safety and health units and committees to implement various management measures. As a result, we have obtained the RBA certification for our production bases. By employing the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle, we realize a culture of safety with “continuous improvement.”

Worker Participation, Consultation and Communications |
|---|
To maintain work environment quality and operational safety in employee workplace, MiTAC has an Occupational Safety and Health Committee in place in Taiwan. It is composed of the occupational health and safety management personnel, every departmental supervisor/monitoring and command personnel, relevant technical engineering personnel and labor representative of a total of 55 persons. Among which, there is an OHS committee consisting of 20 labor representatives accounting for 36.4% of the workers participation ratio. In 2024, the Taiwan Occupational Safety and Health Committee proposed 15 safety and health proposals, all of which were implemented for improvement. The plants in mainland China have established safety oversight organizations, which submitted 11 safety and health proposals. Additionally, MiTACIS in the United States has its Mitac Information System Safety Team, which proposed two safety and health initiatives. The committee proposes suggestions on the occupational safety and health policy, reviews, coordinates, and advises on safety and health issues, and participates in internal occupational accident investigations. It further promotes workplace safety and health.

If the employees have concerns or suggestions regarding occupational health and safety aspects, they can inform the labor representative member of the OHS Committee for raising the matter for consultative discussions and adjudication made by the Chairperson at the regular committee meeting. Or, when there are any suggestions of concerns by external related groups towards EHS management, the information received shall be recorded in the “Internal and external factory communications log” for discussions and handling during the committee meeting. The original proposer shall be informed of the handling results for the case, and the handling situation after the end of the case shall be recorded by the department responsible in the communications log. In 2024, a total of 18 internal and external safety and health communication records were kept in the Taiwan region, 5 in mainland China, and 4 in the United States.

Once an accident occurs in the workplace, the department that is involved in the accident shall inform the Health and Safety Management Office immediately to initiate the handling and investigation procedures. Corrections and preventions are to be made according to the root cause factor of the hazard occurrence to guarantee the safety and health of the employees and prevent the accidents from happening again. In addition, the Company follows accident investigation and management procedures to collect and analyze near-miss incidents. These are events that, while not resulting in injury or property damage, still cause alarm to employees. In 2024, there were six near-miss incidents in the Taiwan region (with a near-miss incident rate of 1.41). These incidents mainly involved employee-related events. No near-miss incidents were reported in plants in other regions. The responsible units have analyzed the types and causes of these incidents, formulated corrective and preventive measures, evaluated their effectiveness, and continuously tracked improvement progress. |

Regarding employee commuting accidents, in 2024, there were 21 reported cases in Taiwan and three in mainland China. No related accidents occurred in the United States. In 2023, we began organizing traffic safety-related activities. In 2024, we launched lectures and courses on drivers' rights concerning compulsory automobile liability insurance to protect employees' rights and obligations after an accident. For all employees affected by accidents, we have a tracking and care mechanism in place for occupational injury victims. This involved classifying injuries by severity to initiate appropriate care measures. Follow-up consultations with physicians were arranged to monitor recovery progress and document discussions. Once assessed as fit to return to work, employees underwent ongoing occupational injury recovery monitoring tailored to the severity of their injuries.
